OEM GPS Receiver with External Reference

For base station applications, MEINBERG has developed the GPS161ER - a compact OEM solution that synchronizes to either GPS or an external reference (10MHz or PPS [pulse per second]). This is an extension of the proven GPS161 OEM board in that in the event of a problem with GPS, the board can be locked to an existing external reference frequency.

MEINBERG's GPS161ER is already finding its way into the compact base stations of Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial (DVB-T) applications. The compact size of the boards allows easy integration of GPS controlled timing into synchronization tasks like:

Synchronization of Telecom Networks
Calibration and synchronization of laboratory equipment
Synchronization of radio transmitters / base stations
