Our products are deployed in mission-critical applications around the world including power grids, stock exchanges and banks, live TV and radio programs, air traffic control systems, and hyper-scale data centers. Meinberg is a German company, headquartered in Bad Pyrmont, Germany with a design center in Vienna, Austria. Propelled by our growth, Meinberg has recently established our US headquarters in Santa Rosa, California and is expanding quickly.

We are looking for:



Job Opening: Technical Sales Engineer (m/f/d)

Meinberg synchronization products are used extensively in data centers, power grid, finance, broadcast & media, defense, and telecom infrastructure. Our sales process requires detailed technical knowledge to explain products, answer technical questions, and configure and quote custom solutions. The Meinberg USA Technical Sales Engineer will be in constant email and phone contact with customers to coordinate activities between the sales, support, and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to quote requests from customers in all markets and drive the sales process by explaining technology, proposing solutions, quoting products, answering technical questions, and closing business.
  • Become an expert at Meinberg’s entire product line and master the quoting system
  • Support Meinberg’s business in all market segments, including participating in trade shows as assigned.
  • Track leads and quotes and report status in monthly sales outlook meeting

Requirements:

  • Experience in sales or a customer-facing role.
  • Good customer engagement and communications skills, patient and diplomatic, service-oriented.
  • Strong understanding of computers and networking technology – technical degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of timing technology: GPS/GNSS, IRIG, NTP, PTP.
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus.
  • Technical aptitude & attention to detail.
  • Dependable and hard working.
  • Be available to travel to tradeshows, conferences, and company HQ in Germany.
  • Desire to contribute to a growing company and share the work and challenges.

As an investment in success, Meinberg will provide training in our business processes, network time synchronization technology, and Meinberg products. Technical training will include GPS, NTP (network time protocol), and PTP (IEEE-1588 precision time protocol), our complete product line, both hardware and software, and industry standards.
