SDU-R: Redundant Sine or TTL Distribution Unit for 19-Inch Rack Mount

Key Features:

  • 16 outputs in a 1U housing
  • Internal switching, 2 error inputs and alarm relays
  • Status LEDs for the power supply units and switching card (selected input source, remote, initialisation)
  • Compact 1U design, for 19-inch rack
  • Redundant input signals and power supply
  • System monitoring with Meinberg Device Manager software

The SDU-R is a distribution unit for providing sine signals with low additive phase noise, TTL output signals via BNC sockets or fibre optic signals via F-ST connections.

SDU-R - Signal distribution unit with fiber optic inputs and outputs via F-ST connectors

The SDU-R system is a signal distribution unit with redundant signal inputs. In addition, a redundant power supply can be realised for the respective application via different power supply units. The signal distributor is used in areas where high reliability of the output signals is required.

SDU-R/SIN/NET/AD10-AD10:
Signal distribution unit for rack mounting with 16 x 1-25 MHz sine wave outputs, redundant AC/DC power supplies and RJ45 LAN connection for remote control and monitoring

SDU-R/TTL/NET/DC20-DC20:
Signal distribution unit for rack mounting with 16 x TTL signal outputs, redundant low DC power supply units and RJ45 LAN connection for remote control and monitoring

SDU-R/FO/NET/AD10-AD10:
Signal distribution unit for rack mounting with 16 x fibre optic outputs (850nm, multimode), redundant AC/DC power supplies and RJ45 LAN connection for remote control and monitoring

Functionality
Different switching modes (Auto/Manual) are selectable by switches on the front panel. In the automatic mode the two signal inputs are monitored and switched over by an internal switching logic. Switching is done in case of signal loss at the input socket or by indicating an error of the master system at the error input (connector: X1). In manual mode, the selected input is switched through directly to the outputs.

The system can be configured remotely via an RJ45 LAN connection using the "Meinberg Device Manager" monitor program.

The following parameters can be read out:

  • Status of both inputs
  • Status of all 16x outputs
  • Status of both power supply modules
  • System temperature
  • Selection of the input signal
