The perfect solution where full LANTIME functionality and versitility are required in a compact industrial chassis.
The LANTIME M400 Time Server has versatility similar to the M300 rackmount series, and provides accurate time to your network in a compact and full-featured DIN railmount package for industrial applications such as utility substations, process control, and automation systems.
The successor to the LANTIME AHS and DHS models, the M400 includes an LC display and keypad and a wider variety of options than were available in those models. The LCD menu allows configuration of a large number of features and provides detailed status information for the reference signal (synchronization, lock, etc.) or NTP related information (current stratum, offset, and source of synchronization). The front panel black-on-white LCD has an automatic backlight feature for easy viewing in dark areas, and provides a convenient means to set the basic network parameters such as IP address, gateway, and netmask. All connections for power, antenna, network, output signals and configuration are conveniently provided on the front panel, and include 10 MHz and 1 PPS outputs via BNC connectors. The M400 has a wide-range power supply that can operate from 100-240 VAC or VDC.
Because of its modular system architecture it is possible to equip a LANTIME M400 Time Server with a number of different reference time sources. The M400 includes a Reference Clock that will synchronize to either GPS, WWVB, DCF77(PZF), MSF, available IRIG/AFNOR Time Codes, or an MRS version which can synchronize to a combination of these with user-selectable priority and switchover time.
A highly stable TCXO internal oscillator is provided to maintain timing accuracy during periods of interference or temporary loss of synchronization There are also several precision quartz oscillator options available for applications with higher accuracy and stability requirements. The oscillator determines the holdover characteristics (drift) when the Reference Clock signal is disturbed or temporarily unavailable.
Additional options include DC power input, additional network or serial ports, different serial string configurations, and frequency and pulse outputs. In conjunction with a Meinberg VP100 large wall mount display, all alarm notifications can be displayed for viewing at a greater distance such as in a control room or monitoring station.
